We moved to a new location in April of 2017 and are raising money to buy our new building, establishing a permanent downtown space for our LGBTQ+ youth center and other social justice community organizations. The multipurpose building we are purchasing will be a good investment, allow us to expand our programming (including more youth and all-ages workshops, dances, performances, and other events) provide stability to LGBTQ+ youth and to the organization, and give us the opportunity to support emerging ventures.More informaiton on our Quest for a Permanent Home: http://stonewallyouth.org/our-quest-for-a-new-home/This year's Dine Out image by Katie Rita!♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥Launched in 2010, DineOUT for Stonewall Youth has quickly become a favorite local tradition. Participating restaurant owners appreciate the goodwill and increased customer traffic that the event generates. Folks who dine out say that they enjoy their meals even more because they're supporting Stonewall Youth's vital work on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQQIA) young people.STONEWALL YOUTH is an organization of youth, activists, and allies that empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQQIA) youth to speak for themselves, educate their communities, and support each other. We serve youth ages 21 and under. The majority of youth participants are from rural and urban Thurston County but we also serve rural Mason and Lewis counties.Stonewall Youth addresses the root causes of oppression while providing access to services and activities that alleviate the stresses of marginalization and assist youth to survive and to build sustainable lives. We offer a wide range of programs: support groups; drop-in hours; a Speakers Bureau; safe and sober social events; and community organizing, professional development, and leadership opportunities for youth.Stonewall Youth centers youth voices and empowers youth participants to take leadership roles in our organization, support each other, and educate the community. We are operated by a staff collective of 5 co-directors (three youth and two adults), our Board of Directors is nearly 50% youth, and all of the members of our Speakers Bureau Collective are youth.More about our programs: http://stonewallyouth.org/wp-content/uploads/OurPrograms-1.pdfEven more info about Stonewall Youth: http://stonewallyouth.org/
