Do you want an item that is essential to you?

Hello, LGBTQI2S+ youth! We do our best to make free essential items available to you, particularly if you have limited funds and/or limited access to items. Below, there’s a form you can fill out to request an essential item. Don’t want to fill out the form? You can email us at info@stonewallyouth.org.

Essentials items include things like food, gift cards for gas and other transportation needs, gender-affirming items (such as cosmetics, wigs, and binders), clothes, self-care items, safe-sex items, COVID supplies (like masks), school and creative items (such as notebooks and art supplies), and more. (Feel free to request items that are essential to you even if they’re not on that list!)

Basically, we want to support you to survive and thrive! Providing essential items was a lot easier before the pandemic when you could just come hang out at the space during drop-ins and get some food or safe-sex items, or fill out a request form with assistance from staff. Now we can order items to be delivered directly to where you’re living, or schedule a time for you to pick it up at the Stonewall Youth office.

We purchase most of these items specifically for youth upon request. We also have some items that have been donated to us by kind organizations and will let you know if we already have something you’ve requested to see if it meets your needs.

Please know that we might not always be able to afford requested items depending on our budget, but we’ll do our best to make it happen!
