Trans Day of Needs on Nov. 24

Big Thanks to Tali Jones for organizing Olympia’s first Trans Day of Needs!

The fall and winter is a hard time for a lot of trans folx. You have Trans Day of Remembrance, the holidays, the lack of sun and all that fucking rain. It is easy to get lost and fall into a depression and feel separated from not only the community but from yourself.

You have needs and Tali Jones and friends are here to give you that help this year with Olympia’s first Trans Day of Needs. This event will be providing you all with the necessary things needed to survive the rest of 2018.

When: Saturday, Nov. 24 at 3-8pm

Where: Westminster Presbyterian Church at 1925 Boulevard Rd SE, Olympia WA 98501

They will be giving away:
-Free binders and breast forms
-Comfort food
-Watching movies
-Making pillow/blanket forts
-giving away prizes
-providing participants with a swag bag with items like makeup, brushes, razors, coloring books, lotions, tinctures, and tea.

This event is a safe space. We WILL center Transwomen of Color and ask that no drugs or alcohol be brought on the premises as it is a church and we want to be respectful of the space and those struggling with chemical dependency.

The event is ADA accessible and volunteers and donations are welcomed.

All physical donations can be brought to YWCA of Olympia Monday-Thursday between 10-4 pm. All monetary donations can be directed to this link:
