Come out & play with us!
We hope you’ll participate in Stonewall Youth’s Bowl-O-Rama fundraiser. This annual all-ages and child-friendly event takes place on June 4, 2016 at 6pm to 8pm at Westside Lanes.
There will be costumes, games, prizes, music and diner Food! Oh, and bowling! (But you can participate without bowling or even showing up!)
Ways you can participate:
~ Be a TEAM INSTIGATOR or TEAM MEMBER. Each team of 5 people fund-raises together, devises a team name and costume theme, and participates in the actual event. Team Instigators, well, instigate the team & help them organize! Perhaps your business, workplace, organization, or group of friends would have fun organizing a team! We make it easy by providing several tools such our Facebook event page and our Bowl-O-Rama fundraising page where people can make online donations.

~ Individuals, businesses and organizations are welcome to SPONSOR the Bowl-O-Rama! We’ll promote your business to the greater Olympia LGBTQ* community and our supporters on our Facebook, website and at the event. Click here for more info.
~ DONATE! You’re invited to donate items that we could use as prizes at the event. You can also donate funds by visiting our Bowl-O-Rama event page.
Why it’s important to support Stonewall Youth: LGBTQQIA youth need a safe and sober place like Stonewall to talk about their experiences, and to get support, feedback, referrals, and mentorship to assist them to successfully navigate the difficulties they face. Along with being marginalized due to their sexual orientation and/or gender identity, many LGBTQQIA youth contend with homelessness, racism and other types of oppression, abuse or neglect from parents or guardians, hunger, mental health or substance abuse issues, poverty, bullying and disrespect at school, and other struggles. It’s estimated that approximately 40% of youth who are homeless in our community are LGBTQ+, and LGBTQ+ youth are four times more likely to commit suicide than other youth.
